Mic Check: Introduction to Podcast 24/09/26

The school organised an insightful and interactive session on “Mic Check: Introduction to Podcast,” conducted by Ms. Rutika Yeolekar from Whistling Woods International. The session aimed to familiarise students with podcasting, develop their understanding of this emerging medium and encourage them to explore its creative possibilities.

The resource person introduced students to various podcast formats, including conversational, monologue, theatrical, storytelling and hybrid formats. She explained the basic structure of a podcast and highlighted important elements such as the hook and stinger, which help capture listeners’ attention and create an engaging experience. Students were also introduced to the importance of voice, narration, content flow and storytelling in audio production. An engaging storytelling activity provided them with hands-on experience and encouraged creative expression. 

The session enriched students’ understanding of podcasting as a contemporary medium of communication, creativity and learning.
