English Debate Competition 16/07/25

Gyan Devi Senior Secondary School, Sector-10, Gurugram, in collaboration with The Federal Bank Ltd., organized an English Debate Competition for students of Classes IX to XII. The competition was graced by the School Chairman, Capt. J.S. Yadav. It was also presided over by distinguished guests from The Federal Bank: Mr. Vasu Saxena, AVP & Zonal Liability Head, New Delhi Zone; Mr. Achal Chaudhary, DVP & Regional Head, New Delhi West Region; and Ms. Rachna Chandna, AeVP & Branch Head, Gurgaon Branch. 

The competition was divided into two categories. Students of Classes IX and X debated on the topic ‘Digital Banking is Better than Traditional Banking’ & Classes XI and XII deliberated on ‘Cashless Economy – A Boon or a Burden’. In each category four students spoke in favour and four spoke against the motion.. The participants presented their viewpoints confidently, backed by logical reasoning and compelling facts. The winners were felicitated with momentos and certificates. A melodious motivational song was sung by the students that lifted everyone's spirits.

Mr. Achal Chaudhary, in his address, applauded the efforts of the students and emphasized the importance of maintaining balance in life, being alert, and adapting wisely in today’s fast-changing world. The Chairman of the school, in his concluding remarks, appreciated the collaboration and lauded the students for their awareness and articulation on current economic topics. The event concluded with the National Anthem. The list of the winners is as follows.
