Inter House Competitions 11/07/25

Gyan Devi Senior Secondary School, Sector-10, Gurugram, witnessed a vibrant celebration of talent, intellect, and expression through a series of Inter House Competitions for Classes VI to VIII. The event aimed to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills among students while encouraging healthy house spirit.

The Hindi event titled ‘Bhavon ki Prastuti’ captivated the audience as participants from each house stepped into the shoes of inspiring personalities like Helen Keller, Arunima Sinha, Savitribai Phule, and Sudha Chandran. Through emotionally charged monologues, they portrayed the challenges and triumphs of these icons. Himalaya House impressed the judges with a powerful presentation, bagging the first position, followed by Aravali House and Nilgiri House.

In the English competition, ‘Echoes of Expression’, a unique radio show format was adopted where each team comprised a radio jockey and a literary legend. The stage came alive as students interviewed renowned authors like Jane Austen, Emily Brontë, Jonathan Swift, and Sudha Murty. The dialogue-driven performances showcased not only excellent oratory skills but also deep literary insight. Himalaya House emerged victorious, with Nilgiri and Vindhya Houses securing the second and third positions respectively.

The Mathematics Quiz Competition was an intense battle of logic and speed. Four participants from each house competed through rounds covering mental math, reasoning, and application-based problems. Vindhya House outshone others with quick and accurate responses, clinching the first place, followed by Nilgiri and Himalaya Houses.

The event concluded with an encouraging address by the school Principal, Ms. Sheena Yadav, who appreciated the enthusiasm and preparation of all participants. She applauded the efforts of the teachers for guiding the students and emphasized the importance of such platforms in building confidence and holistic development.
