The students of class VII C presented a special assembly to celebrate UNO Day to commemorate the establishment of the United Nations in 1945. The theme for this year was “Cultivating a Culture of Peace.”
The event began with a skit explaining the purpose, functions, and main organs of the UN, highlighting its role in maintaining world peace, fostering international cooperation, and promoting human rights. Students recited a poem titled ‘Vishwa Shanti,’ spreading the message of universal peace. A melodious song followed, emphasizing the need for creating an inclusive space for everyone. An engaging quiz tested students' knowledge on various aspects of the UN.
In her address, the School Principal, Ms. Sheena Yadav reiterated the importance of unity and global harmony. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
