Swachh Bharat Diwas 2024 was observed on 2nd October to honor Mahatma Gandhi. Leading up to the event, the Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) fortnight, from 14th September to 2nd October 2024, was jointly organized by the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, and Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. The theme, “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata,” emphasized on cleaning dirty garbage spots, recognizing sanitation workers, and celebrating a decade of cleanliness efforts. Schools nationwide participated, promoting cleanliness awareness among students and communities through various activities.
The campaign in our school began with a Swachchta Pledge, where students and staff committed to maintaining a clean environment. A Cleanliness Drive followed, with participants cleaning the campus and surrounding areas. Tree Plantation activities were organized to promote environmental care, alongside workshops on making bio enzymes for eco-friendly cleaning. Students also participated in Awareness Sessions on Waste Management.
Through these activities, students learned the importance of environmental responsibility, proper waste management, and their role in maintaining cleanliness for a sustainable future.
