The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school. The Chief Guest, Shri Kanwar Singh Yadav, accompanied by his wife, Ms. Bimla Yadav, graced the occasion. The event was also honoured by the presence of our School Chairman, Capt. J.S. Yadav and Pro Chairman, Mr. Ashish Yadav. The celebration began with the unfurling of the tricolor by the Chief Guest, followed by the National Anthem.
The cultural program commenced with a warm welcome speech by the School Principal, Ms. Sheena Yadav. This was followed by a heartfelt prayer song, ‘Jan Janardan,’ and a rousing rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’. Students brought history to life with a powerful play based on the Champaran Movement, and a thought-provoking performance about Usha Mehta - an unsung hero. A spirited dance on ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ captured the audience’s attention, followed by a medley of patriotic dances. A tribute to Sarojini Naidu - the nightingale of India through a poem enthralled everyone. The finale, a tribute to the martyrs, was especially moving.
The Chief Guest concluded the event with an inspiring address, encouraging students to strive for excellence and do their best to keep the spirit of independence alive. A vote of thanks was proposed by the School Vice Principal, Ms. Arvinder Kaur. The celebration came to an end with the school song. The students of the Primary Section also celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic fervor. They presented a song, dance and also indulged in making tricolor badges and paper flags.
