The Ministry of Education, Government of India, celebrated "Shiksha Saptah" from July 22-28, 2024, marking the 4th anniversary of NEP 2020. This week-long event highlighted transformative educational reforms with a specific theme each day. Under its umbrella various activities were performed by our school students and teachers according to each day’s theme.
The first day i.e. TLM Day showcased students' creative writing and storytelling, fostering an engaging learning environment. Next was the FLN Day which emphasized foundational literacy and numeracy through activities with Jadui Pitara. It was followed by the Sports Day featuring indigenous sports like rope skipping and gilli danda, promoting fitness and sports-integrated learning. On the fourth day i.e. Cultural Day students celebrated India's cultural diversity with traditional dance and rhythmic yoga. Skilling and Digital Initiatives Day introduced new skills like pottery and Scratch software for storytelling. The second last day devoted to Environmental Awareness involved a plantation drive, teaching students the importance of conservation. On the last day teachers were apprised about the Vidyanjali portal, encouraging them to further disseminate the same information to students, and parents to foster community ownership of schools.
Overall, Shiksha Saptah successfully promoted holistic education and active community engagement, aligning with the vision of NEP 2020.
