The Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav, mandated by the Ministry of Education, India, aimed to foster language learning through regional languages and technology. Over the period of 75 days, i.e., 28 September to 11 December 2023, activities at various levels were conducted according to the weekly themes provided.
The activities like storytelling in Sanskrit, Punjabi slogans recital, sharing food from various states, showing talent, imparting value education and multilingual interactions celebrated linguistic diversity and cultural richness across India. The final week celebrated Subramania Bharati's legacy wherein students read about his early life, his poems in Tamil language and their translations in Hindi.
This utsav created students' interest in these languages and enhanced linguistic tolerance, thereby promoting national integration.
