The event featured the eminent artists, Lalgudi GJR Krishnan and Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi, both fifth-generation disciples of Saint Tyagaraja. Renowned for their mastery of the violin, they are torchbearers of the Lalgudi musical tradition. Krishnan's expertise weaves intricate rhythms and vivadi ragas, while Vijayalakshmi's performances resonate with raga's deep emotions. Their violin duets are celebrated for their musical purity and virtuosity, beautifully complementing each other's unique styles. As prolific composers and collaborators with dancers and Hindustani musicians, they epitomize our cultural heritage.
