The Hindi and English Literary Clubs organized the Inter House Declamation & Debate competition respectively on July 11 & 12, 2023. The Hindi Declamation was organized for classes VI to VIII and English Debate was organized for classes IX to XII. The event showcased the intellectual prowess and eloquence of the participating students. Four houses from our school enthusiastically competed against each other on the topic 'Jal Sanrakshan' for Hindi Declamation and 'Sustainable Lifestyle is Expensive' for English Debate.
The competition was judged by the School Principal, Ms Sheena Yadav and Vice Principal, Ms Arvinder Kaur. In Hindi Declamation one participant from each house presented their ideas on the topic and displayed exemplary oratory skills. Robin of Vindhya House showcased great Hindi language proficiency and public speaking ability, which led him to win first position. Saanvi of Nilgiri house bagged the second position followed by Ridhima of Himalaya house who stood third.
For English Debate, each house was represented by two speakers, out of whom one spoke in favor and one against the motion and two interjectors. Each team presented compelling arguments and countered their opponents with impressive rebuttals. After a fierce battle of ideas, Yashika Yadav from Aravali House bagged first position displaying exceptional logical reasoning, and effective communication skills. Vanshika Tyagi of Nilgiri House secured second position followed by Anamika from Himalaya House. Yashika Singh from Aravali House was adjudged as the best Interjector.
The event not only fostered healthy competition but also promoted critical thinking and public speaking abilities among the students. The School Principal lauded the efforts of the students and encouraged them to practice conserving water and other resources and adopt a sustainable lifestyle.
