On the prestigious occasion of World Heritage Day, a special assembly was conducted by the students of class 7 A.
The event started with the GDSSS Talk Show that aimed to help students understand the significance and need of conserving heritage. It also enlightened the students about the different ways to protect the heritage. It was followed by a story about the famous Konark Sun Temple of Odisha. The wonderful dance performance comprising the folk dances of six Indian states namely Haryana, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Punjab and Maharashtra was mesmerizing. The students took a pledge to conserve and preserve the heritage sites. The programme drew to a close with a fun quiz segment.
The School Principal, Ms Sheena Yadav praised the efforts and hardwork put in by the students. She reprised the gist of the programme that students must conserve their heritage so that the future generations also get to know about their culture.
