A cultural extravaganza - 'Bharat Mera Gaurav' was presented by the students of classes VIII and IX. The programme reflected upon rich cultural heritage and glorious history of our nation. Col. Kr. Pratap Singh (Retd.), Chairman CCA School and President (Gurgaon chapter) HPSC presided over the function as the Chief Guest. The function began with the lighting of the lamp. The school Principal welcomed all the guests and presented the school report. The School Chairman, Capt J S Yadav, Pro Chairman, Mr Ashish Yadav and Managing Director, Mrs Neena Yadav presented bouquets and gift to the esteemed Chief guest. The programme began with the Ganesh Vandana.
The programme gave a glimpse into the glorious past from the time of King Bharat and the great epic Mahabharata which was composed during this time. It also gave a peek into the heroism of king Porus and the greatness of Ashoka who gave us Ashok Stambh and Ashok Chakra. The architectural marvels of the temples built during the reign of the most powerful kings of the Chola Empire and the golden age of the poets and the scholars like Kalidasa, Charaka, Sushruta and Aryabhata was also reflected upon. The programme glorified the greatness of the brave warriors such as Rajput ruler Maharana Pratap and Chhatrapati Shivaji, the founder of Maratha Empire. The programme also traversed through the First War of Independence and paid tribute to great patriots Mangal Pandey, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Overall, the event was the celebration of various traditions, religions, cultures and languages which exist concurrently in Incredible India.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the students and inspired them to excel academically as well. The vote of thanks was proposed by Vice Principal. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
