World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year. The day is marked to raise awareness and consciousness about the environment among the masses. With the same zeal and fervour a 'Tree Plantation Drive' was organized in our school by the Environment Club. Tree Plantation is one of the best activities for making the planet greener, livelier, and healthier.
Students of classes IX to XII planted a large variety of plants in the school campus and at their homes as well. The teachers also planted the trees along with the students to create an awareness regarding climate change and its adverse effect on us. Tree plantation is not just something that should be done; instead, it is a necessity, the urgent need of the hour. The students also watered the existing plants and were told about how to take care of them so that they do not wither away. The drive was a huge success, empowering students with substantial knowledge of the environment and plants.
Lastly, students expressed the importance of planting trees and preserving nature for future generations.
