World Heritage Day 18/04/22

With the aim to spread awareness about the dying cultures and natural heritage around the globe, 'World Heritage Day' is celebrated every year on 18th April. The day also focuses on solutions through which one can preserve the ancient culture. Keeping up with the same zeal, Class X students of our school presented a small programme to observe this day. The theme for this year's celebration was 'Heritage and Climate'.

The event began with apprising everyone about the significance of the day through a speech. Through the medium of a PPT the students highlighted the importance of monuments, the impact of climate change on them and how we can preserve them. A student narrated a story about Rani Ki Vav, popularly known as queen’s stepwell which  was built in the 11th century and has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rani-ki-Vav is an exceptional example of a distinctive form of subterranean water architecture of the Indian subcontinent. Students also expressed their love for monuments through a poem.

The programme concluded with the inspiring words of the school Principal, Ms Sheena Yadav wherein she urged the students to put in their best efforts in preserving the national heritage.
