"Alert today is alive tomorrow."
Road safety is an issue of prime concern for all. Be it a pedestrian, rickshaw puller or any other vehicle driver, anyone can fall prey to mishaps on roads. Keeping the same view in mind 'Disaster Management Club' made an attempt to reduce the number of such unfortunate incidents by sensitizing students towards this global issue through a PowerPoint Presentation on ‘Road Safety' which aimed at raising public awareness about traffic rules.
Class X students through the presentation accentuated the importance of safety while driving. The need for road users to wear helmets, carry proper documents, wear seat belts and refrain from using mobile phones while driving were highlighted. Students spoke as to how rash driving is creating safety issues on the roads. They also focused on the rules for pedestrians. Following rules could ensure that India’s roads can edge closer to becoming a completely accident-free zone.
Reiterating the importance of following road safety rules, the School Principal addressed the students and urged them to be careful while walking and driving on the roads as accidents not only bring pain to the injured but also to their loved ones.
