With joy and verve, through multidisciplinary activities Earth Day was celebrated to spread awareness among people regarding its importance and need to conserve it. Students of Primary classes narrated beautiful poems and sang songs admiring Mother Earth. They planted seeds and took pledge to plant a tree every year on this occasion. Continuing with the celebrations a special assembly was put up by the students of class VI A highlighting the importance of Mother Earth through the canvas of virtual platforms.
Each item of the assembly demonstrated and promoted awareness and the need to preserve and conserve Mother Earth. Students portrayed the seriousness of the alarming condition of earth, its causes and effects. Measures that could be taken by the students to save earth were presented through an act where Green Man gave solutions to resolve environmental issues like using jute bags, 3R system etc. Students took pledge to plant more trees to contribute towards the cause. The choir song "The Earth Song" was played wherein the students promised to save and protect the earth from any harm so as to keep it green for our future generations.
The School Principal, Ms Sheena Yadav praised the efforts and hardwork of the students and in her address urged the students to become the "voice of change" and spread environment awareness around them.
