Independence Day Celebration ‘Shaurya Gatha: Veeron Ko Naman’

The Independence Day celebration, titled ‘Shaurya Gatha – Veeron Ko Naman’ was organised and presented by the students of Classes VI and VII, to commemorate the 80th Independence Day of our nation. The programme began in the school grounds, with the unfurling of the National Flag followed by the National Anthem.
 
In the Kalawati Auditorium, the function began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Students of class VII then presented an English play, ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat – The Spirit of Kashmir’, highlighting the values of unity, harmony and national integration.
 
The students of class VI then presented a Hindi play, ‘Do Samay, Ek Sawal – A Journey of Sacrifice, Courage and Duty’, portraying the courage and sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the dedication of our soldiers.
 
Thought-provoking patriotic poems ‘Main Bharat Ka Jawan Hoon’ and ‘ठहरो’ were also recited, conveying a powerful message of unity, harmony and responsible citizenship.
 
A vibrant dance performance on ‘Vande Mataram’ and a soulful patriotic song ‘O Desh Mere’ reflected the students’ love for the nation and paid tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and armed forces.
 
The programme concluded with the address by the Chief Guest, Mrs Anupama Sarohe, followed by the Vote of Thanks by Vice Principal Ma’am.
 
A fitting end of the function was an enthusiastic rendition of the National Anthem, by the students and teachers alike.
