Gurugram Progressive schools Council organised the XXIII Annual Convention on May 03, 2025 from 9.00 am to 4.00 p.m. at the Leela Ambience, Gurugram.
The Central theme of the conference was: "Nurturing Generations Alpha to Beta: Empowering Parents and Educators for Fostering Future Changemakers". The purpose of the conference was to bring together leaders, experts and professionals from various sectors to discuss and deliberate key takeaways to achieve the aim.
The programme started with the ‘Honour March’ by the students [ Head Girl and Head Boy] of all participating GPSC member schools, followed by the Lamp Lighting ceremony by the dignitaries.
Session 1 started with the inaugural address by B K Shivani, highlighting the importance of de-addiction of digital devices among children. She also emphasized on the mind stability affirmations as positive vibrations bring change. Mr. Rohit Kumar, Co-Founder, Family Vision Foundation, and Professor Madhu Parhar emphasized on the fact that the smallest gestures often make the biggest difference in a child's life.
Keynote address was given by the Chief Guest, Mr. Himanshu Gupta, Secretary, CBSE. He gave an insight about the world of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality which is embedded in gen Alpha's day to day life. He also said that gen Alpha has a deep sense of global connect.
Other eminent personalities and facilitators discussed various issues and concerns which gen Alpha will face as they are evolving themselves as completely AI based individuals. The panelists also highlighted on building resilient minds and compassionate Future Leaders.
At the end, there was a Q & Ans. Session. Mr. Manoj Srivastava, Director, CBSE [ Training] answered the questions asked by the educators. The conference was wrapped up on a positive note for building a brighter future for both Gen Alpha as well as Gen Beta.
Overall, the session was informative.
