The Teacher's Day Celebration commenced with a special morning assembly organized by the students of Class XII, to show their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers.
The assembly started with the chanting of the Mahamantra. Then the English and Hindi thoughts were read out, by Francis and Zohra respectively. Isha and Lavanya also delivered a speech in English about the significance of Teacher's Day. Ganesh and Harshita recited Hindi and English poems respectively. Students of Classes VI-X then sang a melodious song in Sanskrit. The assembly ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.
A lavish lunch for teachers was then hosted by the Management of the Gyan Devi Group of schools, at Gyan Devi Senior Secondary School, Sector 10, Gurugram.
The Shobhna Auditorium was beautifully decorated, creating a festive atmosphere. The event started with a welcome speech by Ms. Sheena, Principal, Gyan Devi Senior Secondary School, Sector 10, who expressed her gratitude towards Chairman Sir and MD Ma’am for being the strength behind the starting of the school and carrying it forward to such great heights.
The fun and merriment then commenced, as all the teachers of the Gyan Devi Group of schools came forward to showcase their talents in different spheres. A special game was also organized for all the male members of the staff.
To add excitement and joy to the occasion, a lucky draw was organized by the Management. The teachers off all the branches of the Gyan Devi Group of Schools were involved in this lucky draw. The lucky ones got exciting gifts which they all appreciated.
As part of the celebration, the School Management held a prestigious ceremony, to honour the ‘Best Teacher' for the academic session 2023- 2024, of all the branches of the Gyan Devi Groups of Schools. It was indeed a pleasant surprise for the awardees.
After the fun and enjoyment, a lavish buffet lunch was spread out, with a wide variety of dishes which were enjoyed by all the teachers.
Before leaving the venue, everybody conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Chairman Sir, MD Ma’am and Sheena Ma’am for arranging such a memorable afternoon for them. It was indeed an unforgettable Teacher's Day for all.
