The Yuva Club of Gyan Devi Public School Senior Secondary , Sector – 17 Gurugram, organised a three day excursion to Ranthambore, for the students of Classes VI to XII. Eighty two students, eight teachers as well as the School Principal and the School Manager embarked on this trip on 12th October 2023.
After checking into Ankur Resort early on 13th October, students freshened up and after a delicious lunch, visited the Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of National History. They took a pledge to save the environment and then observed different varieties of animals and birds showcased in the museum. In the evening, the students enjoyed the DJ night organised at the Resort.
On October 14, 2023, early in the morning, students were taken for a Jungle Safari to the Tiger Reserve. This was a thrilling experience for all, as tigers, deer, sambhar, peacocks as well as varied species of birds in their natural habitat were spotted. The highlight was the sighting of tigers.
Students then visited ‘Dastkar’, an Indian NGO working with craftsmen across India for the promotion and revival of traditional craftswork. Ranthambore Fort was another attraction for the students. After coming back to the Resort, students enjoyed various performances by folk artists, who sang Rajsthani folk songs and danced to the vibrant Rajasthan music. After dinner, the journey back to Gurugram began and everbody reached school on 15th October 2023,at 5:00 a.m.
Overall, it was a fun-filled trip which enthralled the students while sensitizing them toward nature and its wonderful creatures.
