Teacher's Day was celebrated on 5th September by the students of class XII. The programme commenced with the lighting of the holy lamp, followed by the morning assembly, which was conducted by the teachers. Students then presented the Guru Vandana to show their gratitude to all teachers.The Head Boy, Bhaskar Jha, then delivered a short speech which highlighted the teaching profession as the noblest profession.
A beautiful song was presented by the students, again highlighting the bond between teachers and students. Class XII students also presented a few dance performances.
Students then represented their teachers and paid tribute to them by giving them titles.
Principal Ma'am addressed the gathering and wished everyone a happy Teacher's Day. To conclude, Chairman Sir also addressed the gathering and appreciated the events. The function ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.
After the function, a lavish lunch for teachers was hosted by the Management of the Gyan Devi Group of Schools, at Atrio Hotel, Kapashera, New Delhi, on the occasion of Teacher's Day. It was an afternoon filled with fun and merriment, as all the teachers of the different branches of the Gyan Devi Group of Schools came forward to showcase their talent in dancing and singing. They also conducted interesting games which were enjoyed by all. The ambience of the place was very nice. The lunch offered too, was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes on offer.
Before leaving the venue, everybody conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Chairman Sir and MD Ma'am for arranging such a memorable afternoon for them. It was indeed an unforgetable Teacher's Day for all.
