Teacher’s Day was celebrated in school by the students of Class XII, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India. The aim was to pay respect to the great leader and to pay tribute to all teachers.
The programme began with the lighting of the holy lamp by Chairman Sir and MD Ma’am. This was followed by an inspirational poem, a melodious group song and a graceful group dance – all highlighting the important role a teacher plays in a student’s life. An interesting game was also enjoyed by all.
Six teachers - Tr. Satender Negi, Tr. Amita Sharma, Tr. Tilak Raj, Tr. Mamta Tanwar, Tr. Neetu Yadav and Tr. Darshan Lohia - were awarded by the Bharat Vikas Parishad, Gurugram, for their dedication in the field of education. The certificates and mementos sent by this organisation were presented to the teachers by Chairman Sir, which added to the honour accorded to them.
The function ended with Chairman Sir’s motivational address to the gathering, Principal Ma’am’s Vote of Thanks and finally, the National Anthem.
