Sanskrit Diwas Celebration - 05.08.20

Sanskrit Diwas  was celebrated online by the students of classes VI to VIII.

The Chairman of Gyan Devi Group of Schools, Capt. J.S. Yadav and Managing Director of Gyan Devi Group of Schools Mrs. Neena Yadav presided over the event and greeted the staff and students on World Sanskrit Day.

A myriad of activities were planned by the Sanskrit Department Head, Mrs. Mohita Bhatnagar. The event commenced with the melodious chanting of hymns in Sanskrit. This was followed by Guru Vandana,  the Gayatri Mantra and Shloka recitations.

The students enthralled the audience with their beautiful rendering of verses with meanings. A speech was delivered highlighting the scientific nature, beauty of the Sanskrit language and its global importance.  The purity and greatness of the language was celebrated with a song in Sanskrit. The program ended with the Shanti path.

Chairman Sir and MD ma’am applauded the efforts of teachers and students and advised the students to take pride in the Sanskrit language.

The event served to remind us of our rich and invaluable culture, reminding each of us of the endless reasons to be proud of our heritage.
