ANNUAL FUNCTION - 21.12.19

Gyan Devi Public School Senior Secondary, Sector 17, Gurugram celebrated the Annual Function of its Middle and Senior Sections on December 21, 2019. The theme was –

“Education – the Light of Knowledge.”

Dr. Urvashi Tandon, an eminent doctor, author and spiritual healer, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The other dignitaries included the Chairman of the Gyan Devi Group of Schools, the Managing Director, the Principal and other members of the Management Committee.

The importance and value of education was brought out by a group of ex- students at an Alumni Meet. Through various skits, they showed glimpses of some of our great Gurus, such as Lord Krishna, Dronacharya, Chanakya as well as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The performance of the students was inspiring and conveyed the message clearly that ‘Wisdom is Glory’. The related dance performances were also graceful and mesmerising and included various Indian classical dance forms such as Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Kathak and Mohiniyattam. The audience applauded each performance wholeheartedly.

The Chief Guest, in her address to the gathering, appreciated and applauded the efforts of the students and teachers. She encouraged them to keep striving for the best and to always aim higher in life.

The function ended with the Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem.
