To inculcate the value & significance of Sanskrit, the mother of all languages among the students, Sanskrit day was celebrated in Gyan Devi Public School Senior Secondary, Sector 17 Gurugram. The students and teachers of classes VI to VIII put up a great show that paid tribute to the highly scientific, and extremely refined language. The programme started with the chanting of shlokas from the Bhagwad Gita by the students of class VII. The purity and greatness of the language was celebrated with a Sanskrit song presented by class VI students. This was followed by a speech highlighting the scientific nature, importance and beauty of the Sanskrit language. The programme ended with the melodious chanting of hymns and niti shlokas with meanings by the students of class VIII. The Principal in her speech urged students to take pride in Sanskrit and emphasised the increasing relevance of Sanskrit and its global importance.
