INTER SCHOOL CULTURAL COMPETITION

In an endeavour to enhance the visual & performing arts of the students, Gyan Devi Public School Senior Secondary, Sector – 17, Gurugram organised an Inter School Cultural Competition,”Saawan” – Get Soaked in the shower of Art’ on 31 August 2019. 10 renowned schools of Gurugram participated in this Competition. The students of Classes VI to VIII participated in Solo Song, Solo Dance and Poster Making Competition. The theme of the competition was Saawan/Baarish/Barsaat. The event started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our esteemed Judges, Managing Director, Mrs. Neena Yadav, Director Academics, Mrs. Sunita Budhwar, and Principal Mrs. Vineeta Yadav. This was followed by a captivating dance recital by the students, invoking the blessings of Lord Shiva. The event was judged by Ms. Sujata Kapoor, Ms. Jyotsna Rana & Dr. Lokesh Sharma, maestros in their respective fields of Art & Music. The students participated with great enthusiasm and displayed their brilliant skills and enthralled the audience. The students were judged on the basis of the theme depiction and their overall performance. The judges appreciated the musical tone & texture of the students that made the whole atmosphere melodious. The judges honoured the prize winners with mementos and certificates. The overall trophy was bagged by Suncity School, Gurugram.
