The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Gyan Devi Public School Senior Secondary, Sector-17, Gurugram. The Chief Guest Lt. Gen. Raj Kadyan PVSM, AVSM, VSM, hoisted the tricolour and took the salute of the March Past displayed by the SPC Cadets. The Principal welcomed the Chief Guest, all the dignitaries and parents on this occasion.
The students of classes IV to IX participated and presented a spectacular cultural programme where there was a perfect blend of patriotic songs, dances, yoga performances, orchestra and a street play on fundamental duties.
Academic prizes were given away by the Chief Guest to the meritorious students.
The Chief Guest spoke eloquently about our diverse nation and the relevance of the constitution. He enthralled the audience with his inspirational speech and even mentioned that it was one of the best shows he had ever witnessed in a school.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by the Principal. The function ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.
