NEIGHBOURHOOD VISIT

A Neighbourhood Visit was conducted for the students of Classes Nursery to UKG to provide experiential learning beyond the classroom. The purpose of the activity was to make the young learners aware of their surroundings and the significance of essential community institutions.

The children accompanied by their teachers visited Mandir, Gurudwara, Fire Station, Police Station,Market and Park. They gained awareness of cultural and spiritual values at the Mandir and Gurudwara, observed the dedicated service of firefighters at the Fire Station, learnt about the role of police in maintaining safety at the Police Station, and understood the functioning of the local market. At the park, there was time for a cheerful break, songs and a talk on how to care for the environment.

The special highlight was the visit to the neighbourhood gym. The children were welcomed by the fitness trainers, who introduced simple and fun activities suitable for young kids.

As a heartfelt thank you, the children presented hand made thank you cards to the community helpers. Each card decorated with bright colours and cheerful words, conveyed their heartfelt appreciation and brought joy to the recipients.

The visit served as an effective medium for developing observation skills, curiosity, and social responsibility among the students. It also fostered respect for community helpers. The activity was both educational and enjoyable, leaving a lasting impression on the children.
