To sensitize the students towards environment protection and conservation Earth Day was celebrated as Green Colour Day by the students of classes L.K.G. and U.K.G. To mark the importance of the day, the students as well as teachers came dressed in the vibrant colours of nature and conducted various activities like hand printing, finger printing, and thumb printing. Nature Walk and Sapling plantation helped in bringing children close to nature. A virtual tour presented by the class teachers made the students aware about the significance of the occasion. Take away crafts excited the little learners.
Classes I and II celebrated the Earth Day by engaging themselves in craft activities related to the theme. A short poem recital further enhanced their knowledge about the event. The motive was to inculcate values like conservation, respecting nature, being mindful of disposing the waste and encouraging students to reduce, reuse and recycle.
