On the occasion of World Heritage Week, the Archaeological Survey of India, Museum Branch, Red Fort, Delhi organized Inter-School competitive events such as Essay Writing and Heritage Quiz, on 23rd November 2016. The competitions were held at Swatantrata Sangram Sangrahalaya, Red Fort, Delhi. Around 81 students from 16 schools of the NCR participated in the competitions. Our students, Sakshi Singh and Apoorv Yadav, both of Class X, won the SECOND and the THIRD prize respectively in the Heritage Quiz Competition. They were awarded certificates, a set of books and a Sonata watch each.
In the Inter-School competition organized at Meenakshi Public school on 26th November 2016, our students participated in various competitions such as ‘Tearing and Pasting’, ‘Pencil Sketching’, etc. Kanishka and Gaurav, both of Class 2, participated in the ‘tearing & pasting’ competition and won the FIRST PRIZE. Dolly and Vishesh, of Class 3, participated in the ‘pencil sketching’ competition. They missed the Third Prize by a whisker. Students received participation certificates and refreshments. It was a good experience for them.
In the Inter-School competition, ‘Science Rendezvous’, organised at Pathfinder Global School on 26th November 2016, more than 12 schools participated in the competitive events like science model making, quiz and debate. 7 students of Classes IV & V of our school participated in the competition and brought laurels to our school. In the Science Model-Making competition, our students won the SECOND PRIZE. In the Science Quiz competition too, our students won the SECOND PRIZE. It was indeed a proud moment for our students and the teachers who guided them.
Chinmaya Mission Gurudham conducted a Shlok Recitation competition in D.P.S, Sector – 45, Gurgaon. 347 students of 16 schools participated in this programme on 4th December 2016. In Goup F, Niharika of Class IXB won the first prize, Nikita Raghav of Class IXA won the second prize whereas Mansi of Class IXA won the merit award. In group E, Bibek Swain of Class VI B won the first prize, Priyanka Sehrawat of Class VII B won the second prize whereas Shams Praveen of Class VII B won the merit award. In group D, Rakshit Yadav of Class VI A won the third prize while Harsh Sharma of VI B won the merit award. All the participants received certificates of participation. It was a good experience for the students.
