“We only have one Earth, so we have to take care of her.”
The Earth Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in the school premises on 22nd April. Celebrating this day was a way to express how much we care about the future of our planet- Mother Earth.
A special programme was organized which was presided over by our respected Chairman Sir. The students gave speeches, recited poems and sang songs giving the message of loving and preserving nature. A dance drama was presented which explained to the students how man and nature co-exist and why man needs to nurture nature. Students took the earth pledge to fullfill their responsibilities as individuals in protecting our Earth.
The Kindergarten and Primary students made cards, paper bags, decorative items and wall hangings out of reused and recycled materials.
Chairman Sir gave certificates to the prize winners of Best Out of Waste. He also appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students encouraging them to reduce, reuse and recycle the bounties of nature. The event concluded with tree plantation by our Chairman Sir along with members of the Environment club.
